Avoidle requires players to use as many other words as possible before the Avoid word becomes the last available.
The goal is to type four five-letter words while avoiding the red letters at the bottom and using as many other letters as possible. You can use red letters, but they will not improve your score. You can earn up to 20 points, and you will not receive points for repeating a letter.
Each letter in a word earns points based on its rarity, with fewer common letters earning more points than more common letters, as represented on the keyboard. The goal of the game is to accumulate as many points as possible.
When playing Avoidle, you must follow three rules. To begin, players may use letters that do not appear in the Avoid word up to three times. Second, if a player uses a letter from an Avoid word, they can use it as many times as they want, but they must continue to use it in the following words. Finally, if a letter appears in the same position in the Avoid word, it must appear in the same position in the following words.
Hints are available after every three words, and players can accumulate hints throughout the game.
