OEC (Observatory of Economic Complexity) is a data visualization platform based on maritime transportation bills of lading. Tradle is hosted on the OEC domain. Simoes, the CTO and co-founder of Datawheel, the team of designers and engineers behind OEC, is Tradle's developer. Simoes also has other data visualization activities. Tradle combines trade statistics and entertainment to make data more meaningful.
The treemap assists players in determining the names of the countries. And, like Wordle, your guess provides a hint. If you guess the wrong country in Tradle, the game will tell you how far and in which direction you are from the correct answer.
Players are given six guesses to select the correct country, just like in Wordle and the many other games that use it.
